Sharpest eBay Price Index
How typical eBay asking prices move, month by month, per category. Each product's monthly average median price is rebased to its first tracked month (= 100), then averaged across the category, so adding new products doesn't move the index.

Method
Source: active fixed-price and best-offer eBay listings from US sellers, item plus shipping, captured twice daily, with parts/damaged listings, lots, accessories and outliers filtered out (how it works). A product counts in a month only on days it had at least 5 clean listings. These are asking prices, not sold prices. Tracking began in October 2026, so the first months cover only part of the month.
